| Sedgwick pty, an insurance broker, combined with GISCA to develop a model for the City of Adelaide, to assist with assessing the earthquake insurance risk for all South Australian State Government buildings within the central business district of Adelaide. The model was to: Display the 3D geometric shape of each building; Enable photographic images of each building to be presented on the screen, and; Allow a user to interrogate the database containing asset information for each building. GISCA applied the 3D Adelaide Model Ltd, to this problem. The Adelaide Model, transposed 2D GIS data into a 3D GIS system to allow interactive viewing of both subsurface and surface data, The majority of South Australian State Government GIS data for the CBD of Adelaide was inputted and visualized within this model.. | |
