| This project aims to enhance the environmental and social sustainability of the Citarum watershed in West Java. The Citarum watershed has some of the highest demand for landuse in the world resulting in complex environmental and social planning issues. Spatial information technologies such as geographic information systems and remote sensing provide the ability to capture, model and store the wide range of data required to adequately assess the environmental and social issues in the case study area. In addition, these technologies are uniquely able to incorporate, analyse and present the data in a way that is easily assimilated into regional planning and policymaking.. | |
