ARIA+ is widely accepted as Australia's most authoritative geographic measure of
remoteness.
In late 2003 GISCA undertook a complete update of its widely accepted
Accessibility/Remoteness Index of Australia - ARIA+. This update uses
population figures and spatial boundaries from the Australian Bureau of Statistics
2001 Census of Population and Housing.
ARIA+ scores are now available nationally
as a complete data product. ARIA+ scores can be supplied for the following spatial
