The Graduate Certificate consists of a 1 semester (approx. 5 month) program of course work covering a broad range of elementary issues associated with working with spatial information. The aim of the certificate is to rapidly provide the student with knowledge to skillfully and productively use spatial information systems. The modules cover both the theory and practical issues surrounding the application of spatial information systems to environmental and socio-economic problems. The Practical issues of using both Remote Sensing and GIS software forms the major focus of the course.
The certificate consists of 4 core modules. Each is taught as a short course with a 1 week intensive set of lectures and practicals followed by approximately 3 weeks of supervised practical work.
Duration: 5 months (no mid year intake).
