One of the major requirements of any developing IT industry is a good supply of well educated and well trained individuals. In South Australia, and Australia as a whole, the rapid growth in the application of spatial information systems has lead to a great demand for such individuals. Because of this need, one of the central roles of the Centre is to provide a series of postgraduate and short courses in spatial information science, using state-of-the-art computing facilities and expertise.
